| This is the independent 'sonning.net'
website designed & maintained by design-h5 for
the residents, present and past, of both the village of Sonning-on-Thames & the
hamlet of Sonning Eye. Hopefully, it is also a ‘virtual
window’ for
the rest of the world into our special place straddling the natural boundary
of Old Father Thames between Oxfordshire & Berkshire, roughly half-way
between Henley-on-Thames & Reading.
Primarily though, sonning.net is intended as an informational resource for both residents & visitors to our area. You should find a wealth of information in the news & diary pages, the business & community links pages, local travel information & even some of our extensive history. There is also a community message board for everyone to have their say on whatever might be important to them. Praise, observations, suggestions or even criticism [preferably constructive!] of sonning.net can all be made on the message board or by emailing the link at the bottom of this page.
